The food in France is as incredible as ever, and now I can add some highlights from Italy as well! I wouldn't say I prefer one over the other because both are so good. Though there are no pizzas pictured below, I feel it's necessary to say that in a blind taste test, I probably wouldn't be able to tell a French pizza and an Italian pizza apart.

A traditional French meal from Le Coquemar, a restaurant near the Basilique de Fourvière. My travel writing class ate lunch there during our restaurant review unit. The dish includes filet de lieu noir (a kind of saltwater fish) in a chive cream sauce, puréed peas, mushrooms, aubergines, and potatoes. I was all incredible.

The best lemonade I've ever had from Monterosso, Cinque Terre. I had a regular one, and the one in the middle is strawberry.

Tagliatelle au saumon from Etna in Pau. It was very, very good, but I unfortunately wasn't very hungry, so I couldn't finish it.
